Greville Street Retrofit
20-23 Greville Street, the winner of the Civic Trust Award 2024, is a standout example of contemporary architecture that seamlessly integrates sustainability and historical preservation. This office retrofit in central London transforms a 1970s building by merging it with the rich character of its neighboring heritage-protected structures. Architecture studio Groupwork achieved this by affixing a perforated brass cladding system, designed to echo the Victorian and Edwardian-era facades that once stood on the site. Jorg created composite renderings using a 3D-modeled streetscape and site photography, vividly showcasing this unique transformation in the heart of the Hatton Garden Conservation area.
